Penguins' Sidney Crosby addressed the moment he got called for goalie interference, saying it was a soft call and how the Flames goalie did a good job at selling it.

The Pittsburgh Penguins had their season-best win streak of six games snapped Saturday as they lost 2-1 to the Calgary Flames at PPG Paints Arena, and what happened afterwards was no surprise to hockey fans.
The Penguins gave up the first goal in under three minutes of the first period and surrendered the winning goal to Calgary on their first shift of the third period. Those mistakes were aggravated by a 0-for-3 showing on the man-advantage.

What happened to Bryan Rust before the start of the game

Pittsburgh was also without leading scorer Bryan Rust, who was scratched due to an injury that was not specified.
Rust came into the game with 36 points in 40 contests and remains an integral part of the top line, first unit power play, and penalty kill. His absence was noticeable throughout the lineup.
To add to the frustration, there was a potential tying score late in the third period. Tommy Novak seemed to beat Flames' Devin Cooley with a goal at 12:59, but the play was waved off due to an interference call by Penguins' Sidney Crosby on Cooley.
Crosby argued that there had been contact, but that he was pushed in and the Flames goalie sold it.
"I think it looks bad, but being in the play, I felt like I did my best to try to avoid the goalie and I got pushed into him," Crosby said. "The explanation had something to do with being in the crease, but you're allowed in the crease as long as you don't impede the goalie. I was trying to get through there and got pushed back into him. He did a good job of selling it. I grazed him and he went down pretty easy."

Why the disallowed goal doesn't change a simple fact

Despite the overturned score, Pittsburgh had yet to establish momentum against a Flames team that came in on a four-game losing streak and was near the basement of the NHL in the standings.
Arturs Silovs suffered the setback, falling to 8-6-6, but played a good game, thwarting 23 of 25 shots.
Since being picked up from the Columbus Blue Jackets on Dec. 29, Yegor Chinakhov has chipped in three points in five outings, although scoring depth across the lineup was not good enough yesterday.
