The Tristan Jarry to Edmonton rumors are heating up, and Penguins fans have been commenting online, with certain things they've said having gone viral.

Three goalies currently in the top ten in save percentage belong to last year's starters, and the other seven belong to backups. Hesjer Wallstedt, who leads at the moment, had a save percentage of .879 in the last season.
Devin Cooley had a save percentage of .905. They lead at the moment with save percentages of .935 and .930.
But such unpredictability gives rise to another goaltender in the league who happens to be playing, as Penguins' Tristan Jarry stands 8th in the league with a .914 save percentage in eight appearances.
After several low performances in the low season, including an AHL assignment, many Penguins' fans are eagerly waiting to see him get traded away.

What Penguins fans have been saying that has gone viral

And as the rumor regarding the trade between Jarry and Edmonton gets stronger, the Penguins' pages are filled with postings from fans going viral.

I will personally drive him to Edmonton.

Pittsburgh fan Mathias @ImExoticFarmer
From the goodness of our hearts, we will give the Edmonton Oilers Tristan Jarry. Bargain contract, proven superstar. All this and we'll fly him all the way to Alberta FOR FREE

Pittsburgh fan Quinn @qmc_91
Build the statue for (Penguins GM) Dubas if he makes this happen.

Pittsburgh fan YinzerBurgh @Yinzer_Burgh
Please god take him, we'll take a bag of pucks in return.

Pittsburgh fan ian @ianweir93
Deal. Don't care what the return is.

Pittsburgh fan Harrison Schulz @hschulz17
Please God let this be true

Pittsburgh fan PensHub @PenguinsHub87
Send Jarry to the oilers after this game😂. His value will NEVER be higher

Pittsburgh fan nhlpens@nhlpens
Let's hope Jarry locks in the next few games so we can fleece a desperate and dumb Oilers team lmao

But there appear to be some voices from NHL analysts and insiders who are not entirely sure that he will be the answer.
TSN's Jeff O'Neill on the 100% Hockey Podcast, and John Shannon, believe that Jordan Binnington would be a more attractive target for Edmonton to acquire.
"I don't understand the Jarry (interest). Jarry was in the minors not long ago. I think he would be as big a risk as Skinner would be. I have no idea why you think you would be improving it to a degree where you might settle things down They're not going to be going to hashtag 'Now we go,' if they get Tristan Jarry."

- Jeff O'Neill

"I like the player as a person, but I don't want to see Tristan Jarry in it (trade talk). I don't want to hear any stories about, 'Let's bring an Oil King back.' I don't want to hear them. That doesn't wash for me. I mean, the reason Tristan Jarry might be available is because he's the third best goalie in the Pittsburgh system. And that might tell you where he is in his progression."

"I love Jordan Binnington's fight. I love Jordan Binnington's professionalism. If Jordan Binnington were available - and I'm not suggesting he is because I don't think we really know - but if Jordan Binnington were available, I would be trying to get Jordan Binnington."

- John Shannon

He has not had outstanding results, ranking 43rd in the league in save percentage at .881, but former NHL goaltender and current lead analyst at Hockey Central, Darren Pang, believes that he is good enough to make the 2026 Team Canada.

Why the rumors between Tristan Jarry and the Oilers started in the first place

The Tristan Jarry rumors all began with ESPN analyst Kevin Weekes' connection of Jarry with Edmonton, which Penguins' fans passionately welcomed. Jarry has a $5.375 million cap hit, which expires in two seasons.
Fans can get it wrong, of course. Skinner can turn it around in other places, and Jarry can settle in in other scenarios. Goaltenders are always unpredictable, and guarantees are not always a given.
