Pittsburgh Penguins Trade Former 6th Overall Pick to Devils

Kyle Dubas just pulled the trigger on another trade, this time sending one of his younger forwards to the New Jersey Devils.
That forward would be none other than former 6th overall pick Cody Glass, who has battled through injuries to establish himself as a regular NHL player.
That being said, Glass is not exactly a player that moves the needle. The 25-year-old center has 4 goals and 15 points in 51 games this season.
His advanced metrics don't look much better than his point total, although he did prove to be an effective defender with the Penguins this season.
Glass has appeared in 238 career NHL games which is a minor miracle in itself considering the injury luck he has had.
Sadly though those injuries have weighed on him, preventing him from reaching his star potential.
He has 33 career goals and 86 points split between three different clubs. New Jersey will be the fourth team of his six-season long career.
It seems as though Dubas may be close to done making his moves as his larger trades came earlier in the week.
In return for Glass, Dubas was able to secure a 3rd round draft pick, quite good value for a fourth-line center.
Be sure to stay tuned just in case Dubas makes any more trades. There is still time for a player like
Erik Karlsson to be moved.
