Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson, who has been the subject of multiple trade rumors, could start the year with the Flames, per analyst Frank Seravalli.
The Calgary Flames have one of the most talked about trade candidates in the NHL in defenseman Rasmus Andersson, who is set to enter the last year of his current contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $4,550,000.
He's been linked to multiple teams, including the Vegas Golden Knights, after they announced that the career of veteran defenseman Alex Pietrangelo could be over.
No trade has materialized, and per a new report from analyst Frank Seravalli, he could start the year with the Flames.

Andersson had 31 points (11G, 20A) in 81 games last year for the Flames.
Flames GM Craig Conroy isn't rushing to trade Rasmus Andersson
Back in June, Flames GM Craig Conroy said that he's in no hurry to trade Andersson despite the uncertainty about his contract status beyond the coming season.
Ras has got another year in his contract and I talked to Ras this morning and we're all good. If he's a Calgary Flame in September, he's a Calgary Flame. I mean, there's nothing that I would say is going to happen, or not going to happen. We would never do it in the media anyway. We're just going to go about our business and try to make the team better.
Andersson was taken with the 53rd overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Flames, and has 231 points (47G, 184A) in 536 NHL games, all in a Calgary sweater.
