Less than a day after swirling rumors about Corey Perry's suspension, the Chicago Blackhawks have taken a definitive step by parting ways with the forward.

In an official statement released today, the Blackhawks confirmed that Corey Perry is now on unconditional waivers, marking the end of his time with the team.
The Chicago Blackhawks statement on Corey Perry reads,
"After looking into the matter internally, we've found Corey Perry's behavior to be unacceptable, violating the terms of his contract and our internal policies aimed at fostering professional and safe work environments. Consequently, Corey Perry has been placed on unconditional waivers. If he clears waivers, we plan to terminate his contract immediately."

While this decision doesn't provide all the details, tomorrow Corey Perry will officially become a free agent, sparking ongoing speculation about the events that led to this outcome.
