Niederbach Faces Multi Game Suspension for High Hit
The Detroit Red Wings prospect, Theo Niederbach, has been handed a four-game suspension for a dangerous hit on an opponent, as recently announced.
"MoDo is appealing the disciplinary board's decision to suspend Theodor Niederbach for four matches after this situation, reports Expressen" - X post translated to English
In addition to the suspension, Niederbach was fined $600 USD for the incident.
Selected 51st overall in the 2020 draft by the Red Wings, Niederbach has been quietly developing in the SHL. Though his stats may not grab headlines, he's been playing a professional-style game and is expected to have a long-term career in the pros.
