Drouin's previous disciplinary measure was in the 2021-22 season, when he was fined the maximum $5,000 for cross-checking Dallas winger
Tyler Seguin when playing for the Montreal Canadiens.
Drouin was already suspended once, though all the way back in 2016, playing with the Tampa Bay Lightning when he had failed to report to their AHL affiliate. This is now the first time he has been suspended for an actual in-game action.
