Marc-Andre Fleury shocked the NHL world by revealing he'll join Team Canada at the World Championship, and now he's revealed the reason behind his decision.

Team Canada got two major boosts over the weekend in Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon, and on Monday, veteran Marc-Andre Fleury made a shocking decision, revealing that he will join Team Canada for the tournament as well.
This decision comes after the 40-year old played in his final NHL game during the Minnesota Wild's series loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, but apparently, he's not done yet, as he will represent Canada for the first time in a World Championship tournament.
When asked about it, with his classic sense of humour, Fleury revealed the reason why he decided to represent Canada one final time before his retirement from professional hockey.
I went home and the kids were crazy, so I said I gotta keep playing.
This is a fantastic response from Fleury, who has been known to have one of the best senses of humour in the NHL, as he has been pulling pranks for years on his teammates.
Now, he at least gets a few weeks of peace and quiet as the tournament will take place in Sweden and Denmark, potentially giving him the opportunity to pull another prank on a former teammate, as he will be on the same squad as Sidney Crosby for the first time since he departed the Penguins many years ago.
That was something he addressed further in his press conference, noting that the chance to play with Sid again will be fun, as he looks forward to keeping him honest and yelling at him in practice.
"I'm excited to go. I've never played in the World Championship. I haven't played with Sid in a while obviously, so I think it'll be fun to go spend some time together and yell at him in practice a bit, keep him honest in practice.»
Only time will tell if this is the last time we see Fleury on the ice in a professional setting, and if it is, it's safe to say that he'll be remembered as one of the greatest goaltenders the sport of hockey has ever seen.
