NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman has revealed the reported asking price for New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin, who was told he will not be re-signed by Rangers GM Chris Drury.

Eventually, New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin will be moved from the team that he's played for since 2019, as he was recently officially told by GM Chris Drury that he will not be re-signed to a new contract.
There are now multiple teams jockeying into position to try and make a run at Panarin before the March 6 trade deadline.
Per a new report from NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman, the Rangers are allegedly using last year's Brock Nelson trade from the New York Islanders to the Colorado Avalanche as a baseline of what they'll accept.
For those who don't remember, the Avalanche acquired Nelson for Calum Ritchie, a first round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, and conditional third round pick in the 2027 NHL Entry Draft.

The Reported Asking Price Of Artemi Panarin Has Been Released

A similar asking price for Panarin was reported by NHL analyst David Pagnotta, who reported it would be a first round pick, a top prospect and an unnamed third piece to acquire him.
David Pagnotta: Re Artemi Panarin: Sounds like the typical pricetag for a top tier rental...which is a first round pick, a top prospect and a third piece or whatever equivalent amalgamation of that - Sportsnet Today (1/22)
So far this year in his seventh season in a Rangers sweater, Panarin has 56 points (19G, 37A) in 51 games played.
