Concern grows over Evgeni Malkin's health after latest social media post

There is growing concern about the injury to Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin, who has now missed the last 11 games after initially being ruled day-to-day.
It's now been several weeks since the Pittsburgh Penguins have had forward Evgeni Malkin available to them, and fans are starting to grow concerned.
Per a video posted to X by Penguins analyst Seth Rorabaugh, Malkin was on the ice at the team's practice center taking a skate on the ice before the rest of his teammates.
Earlier in the month, longtime Malkin teammate Sidney Crosby, who will have his sweater number retired upon his retirement from the game as Malkin will, said that it's never easy to replace him.
It's not easy to replace 'Geno.' Pretty much can't. I think it's just by committee. He's been playing great hockey for us, so we're all going to have to step up and get some points here and play some good hockey until he's back. - Sidney Crosby
So far this year, Malkin has 29 points (8G, 21A) in the 26 games he's played.
The Penguins Have Badly Struggled Without Evgeni Malkin In The Lineup
Malkin has not played since December 4 against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and since then, the Penguins have struggled badly and gone through a prolonged losing skid.
They lost nine of 10 games, including six straight at home, making it the worst home stand in team history.
They did pick up a big win last night against the Chicago Blackhawks, 7-3 at the United Center.
