Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Dan Muse has confirmed the status of defenseman Kris Letang for tonight's game against the struggling Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena.

Tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins hope to add to what has been a truly miserable year for the Vancouver Canucks, who have sunk to the bottom of the Western Conference standings and have already made two major trades involving both Quinn Hughes and Kiefer Sherwood.
Per Penguins analyst King Jemison, goalie Stuart Skinner has been named the starter for tonight's game, and defenseman Kris Letang is also available after a brief absence.

Letang has missed the last two games for the Penguins with an upper-body injury.

Kris Letang And The Penguins Are In A Playoff Spot

The Penguins got off to a much better start than even the most skeptical of fans and analysts would have guessed to start the year.
Even though they eventually came back down to earth, they've managed to keep in good position to make what would be a return to the playoffs for the first time since 2023.
They're in second place in the Metro Division, only behind the Carolina Hurricanes, and ahead of other teams like the New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals.
So far this year, Letang has 25 points (3G, 22A) in 48 games.
