The Penguins are looking to add some elite level talent for the future, and now they've identified a very intriguing young forward as a potential free agent.

The Pittsburgh Penguins future is fairly solid, and with plenty of draft picks over the next few years, they have the opportunity to add some immense young talent to their organization for years to come.
While the draft is still a few months away, the Penguins have a chance to add some talent in the college free agent ranks, and now, insider Josh Yohe has linked the team to a very interesting name.
«Dalton Bancroft, the son of former NHL player Steve Bancroft, just finished a strong collegiate season at Cornell and is free to sign with any NHL team. Many teams are interested, and the Penguins are one of them.

Bancroft, a 6-foot-3, 207-pound forward, scored 15 goals in 36 games for Cornell this season. He isn't a great skater, but teams think he could project as a legitimate power forward at the NHL level.»
According to Yohe, the Penguins are one of the teams interested in signing Dalton Bancroft, a forward with great size and skill that has been very productive for years at Cornell.
In three years with Cornell, the now 24-year old has tallied 36 goals and 78 points in 103 total games played, and with a 6-foot-3 frame, it's safe to say that the team would love to add someone with his great blend of size and skill.
The Penguins aren't the only team chasing Bancroft, as Tampa Bay, Boston and Edmonton are just a few of the other teams interested, but if the Penguins could land him, it would be an incredible pickup for Kyle Dubas and the future of Pittsburgh's lineup.
