Kyle Dubas Urged to Make a Trade With Mike Sullivan for Star Rangers Forward
Pittsburgh Penguins' President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kyle Dubas could be looking to complete a trade with Mike Sullivan's new team to acquire a star forward.
Following a tough season for the Rangers, Mike Sullivan knows what he has to do to bring the team back on the right path: choosing team spirit over individual talent:
"Talent doesn't win championships. Teams win championships."
There's more than one leader in the Rangers' locker room, and one of them could end up on the trade block.
Indeed, after a 13-year relationship, it seems
Chris Kreider's time in New York could be running out.
He was involved in a lot of trade rumors over the past year, and now, with the Rangers looking to make sure they get back on top next season, he could end up on the trade block.
"There is a strong sense that the feeling is mutual and that after 13 years with the organization, Kreider recognizes that the relationship has run its course and that he needs a fresh start."
Kreider, 34, didn't have a great year, like the rest of his team. He scored 30 points in 68 games this season, one of the worst tallies of his career.
While his best years are behind him, there's no doubt he could help a team with a lot of young players to evolve in the right direction.
With a fresh start in a new environment, Kreider could be in a great position to bounce back and help the Penguins navigate through the franchise's uncertain times.
