Allan Walsh, the player agent of goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, is hinting that his client could potentially consider one more crack at the can before retiring for good from the NHL.

Saturday night in Pittsburgh will be a memorable night for fans who flock to PPG Paints Arena to watch what is scheduled to be the final NHL appearance for goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury.
Fleury signed a PTO with the Penguins with the intention of playing a final preseason game before officially retiring, and the game is expected to be sold out.
But Allan Walsh, Fleury's agent, is raising eyebrows everywhere by hinting that Fleury could potentially still play during the regular season at some point this year.
He reacted with the eyes emoji to this comment posted by NHL analyst Pierre LeBrun:
So I will just say this: I believe teams will try to convince Fleury out of retirement in January. I don't know what he will say, but I am telling you teams will call, 100 percent.
Fleury has 572 career NHL wins, which are 2nd most among all NHL goalies behind his boyhood idol Martin Brodeur.

Will Marc-Andre Fleury still play this year?

Fleury said that last year with the Minnesota Wild was going to be his last in the NHL, but the competitive fires still burned inside of him, and he joined Canada (along with former Penguins teammate Sidney Crosby) for the 2025 IIHF World Championship.
In recent years, Fleury has been tied to teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs and Edmonton Oilers.
There were even reports that former Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas wanted to acquire Fleury but that idea was shot down by now-ex team president Brendan Shanahan.
