Mario Lemieux Announces 'Something Big' is Coming Tomorrow, Involving the Penguins

Before selling the team to Fenway Sports Group back in 2021, Mario Lemieux was a majority owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and while he remains a minority owner, as of late, there's been plenty of speculation about the future of the organization.

In fact, many believe that a Lemieux-led group is ready to buy back the team in the near future, and now, that speculation has only grown after a recent post on X by the former Penguins icon.

In the post, Lemieux teases that 'something big is coming', and he states that we will find out on Tuesday exactly what this is, and unsurprisingly, it's got all Penguins fans excited to see exactly what the NHL icon is up too.

There's a chance that at the end of the day, this may have absolutely nothing to do with buying the Penguins, but after recent reports about FSG potentially wanting to move on from the Penguins, it's easy to see why fans have gone that way in their speculation.

Unsurprisingly, most of the comments are about Lemieux and his group buying back the team, but for now, we know very little about what is happening, just that we will all find out tomorrow whenever he drops the news.

As a result, we'll now all just have to wait and see exactly what the Penguins legend is up too, but thankfully we won't have to wait long, and with so many possibilities, this could be something major from Lemieux, so keep your eyes peeled on the situation.
