Now that Marc-Andre Fleury's NHL Career has officially ended, another former NHL goalie in Martin Brodeur is paying tribute to him with a heartfelt message.

It's officially the end of an era in the National Hockey League, as goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury's career has ended..
Fleury announced prior to to this year beginning that it would be his final go-around in the NHL, backing up Filip Gustavsson with the Minnesota Wild; he'd played for Minnesota since being acquired at the 2022 Trade Deadline from the Chicago Blackhawks.
Unfortunately for the Wild, they were defeated in Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the 8th straight year, losing to the Vegas Golden Knights, Fleury's former club.
Not long after the Game 6 loss at Xcel Energy Center, Fleury received a special message from his Team Canada teammate Martin Brodeur:
Congrats on an amazing career 🌺! Enjoy your retirement!
Brodeur is the winningest goaltender in NHL history with a total of 691 victories, a record that likely will never be broken.
However, Fleury ended his career 2nd overall in NHL wins with 575. Fleury, who was taken with the 1st overall pick by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, would help the Penguins to 3 separate Stanley Cup wins, including the franchise's 1st since 1992 in 2009 as a starter.
Backing up Matt Murray in 2016 and 2017, Fleury was then claimed by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft and became their 1st goalie in team history. He instantly became a fan favorite in Vegas, where he played until 2021 when he was stunningly traded to Chicago in a move he found out about on social media.
After a brief tenure with Chicago, he was dealt to the Wild in March 2022 where he would play the rest of his career.
