Ahead of their 2nd-to-last game of the year, Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan has announced key roster decisions before they face the Boston Bruins.

Only 2 games remain for the Pittsburgh Penguins, who were officially eliminated from any chance at the Stanley Cup Playoffs last week.
It will be a disappointing end of the year for the Penguins, who were unable to give the iconic trio of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang another chance at making a deep playoff run before their careers inevitably come to a close.
This afternoon, the Penguins are hosting the Boston Bruins before they host Alex Ovechkin and the divisional foe Washington Capitals on Tuesday evening in what will be their season finale.
Before today's game against the Bruins, Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan announced that the team would be starting goaltender Tristan Jarry in the crease. Additionally, he said that forward Phil Tomasino, who had missed the last 3 games with a concussion, was a game-time decision.
Tomasino has appeared in 48 games, scoring 21 points (10G, 11A) since being acquired from the Nashville Predators in late November; the Predators received a 7th round draft pick in return.
Meanwhile, Jarry comes into today's game with an active home shutout streak of 128:08; it marks the longest home shutout streak by a Penguins goaltender since April 22-27, 2021 when Jarry went 145:36 without allowing an opposition goal in front of the home fans.
It's been a mostly difficult year for the Penguins goaltender, who got off to a very slow start and was even waived and relegated to the minors. After a stint with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, he was re-called by Pittsburgh.
