Newly acquired goalie of the Penguins, Stuart Skinner, is making a very noticeable positive impression on his teammates, which is leading to wins.

The Penguins dominated for long periods Thursday night at PPG Paints Arena. As the Flyers started to crawl back in the second period, the door was closed for a potential comeback when Stuart Skinner came through.
The newest Penguin goalie extended his solid game streak to five with a strong performance to help the Penguins defeat their division rivals 6-3 in a critical game for the Eastern Conference.
Skinner made 30 saves out of 33 shots. Even though the Penguins were up 6-1 late in the game, it wasn't a usual rout.
The Flyers were playing well after having a game in Buffalo the night before and possessed a great deal of possession in the second frame.
Down 3-0, Rodrigo Abols scored the first goal to start the comeback, as the Flyers took 13 of the game's next 25 shots.
This win reflects the distance that Pittsburgh has managed to overcome in the wake of a difficult month in December.

What Stuart Skinner has done for the Penguins since the holiday break

Since the holiday, they have managed to revive their hopes of a playoff spot, with Skinner sporting a record of four wins and just one loss, conceding a total of seven goals in the process.
However, the impact of Skinner does not stop on the ice and now finds him as a favorite in the locker room.
"Stuart Skinner is making a very positive influence in Pittsburgh."

The Penguins, led by Dan Muse, are currently third in the Metropolitan Division with six points behind the Hurricanes, but having one extra game played.
Analyzing the remaining schedule, the team is positioned well to finish the regular season strongly and earn a playoff spot.
