Bryan Rust was the only Pittsburgh Penguins player to be selected for Team USA's Orientation Camp invitee list in preparation for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
NHL players are returning to participating in the Winter Olympic Games after a long absence, and there will be multiple Pittsburgh Penguins players who will be taking part.
But the only American-born Penguins player invited to join Team USA for their Orientation Camp later in the month is forward Bryan Rust.
He joins the following list of players, many of whom were on the American roster that came in 2nd place in the 4 Nations Faceoff in February.
Among the names included is Florida Panthers defenseman Seth Jones, the brother of 1st year Penguins defenseman Caleb Jones.

Rust may be a forward, but multiple fans couldn't believe that Montreal Canadiens defenseman Lane Hutson, who won the Calder Trophy as the NHL's best rookie, wasn't included.
