Sidney Crosby Reveals His Decision on Playing for Team Canada at the 2026 Milan Olympics

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has revealed his decision on suiting up for the Canadian squad in the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics.
Not only is Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby an icon for his Hall of Fame career in the NHL, which includes 3 different Stanley Cup wins and countless other accolades, but he'll forever be a Canadian sports icon thanks to his success on the international stage.
His "golden goal" in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics will forever live in Canadian sports lore, while he also captained the Canadian squad to a second gold medal in the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games.
Crosby, who recently captained the Canadian squad in the 2025 IIHF World Championships, will once again represent his country in the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics.
Crosby, along with Nathan MacKinnon, Connor McDavid, Cale Makar, Brayden Point, and Sam Bennett, have all been named to the Canadian squad by general manager Doug Armstrong, who also oversees the St. Louis Blues.

Crosby had 12 points (6G, 6A) in 8 games during the World Championship for Canada, which was upset by Denmark in the quarterfinal game.
