Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Matt Dumba was involved in a car accident at some point over the weekend, but thankfully did not suffer any kind of serious injury.
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Matt Dumba was involved in a car accident over the holiday weekend, but the good news is that he didn't suffer any kind of serious injury.
Per a report from AHL analyst Tony Androckitis, Dumba wasn't hurt but he'll be getting extra time from the Penguins.

Dumba, playing in his first year in a Penguins sweater, has three points (1G, 2A) in 11 games so far this year and was already waived once earlier this month but was not claimed.
Matt Dumba Is Playing In His First Year In The Penguins Organization
The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired defenseman Matt Dumba from the Dallas Stars over the summer as well as a 2nd round pick in the 2028 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Vladislav Kolyachonok.
He was taken with the seventh overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild, where he would play the first several years of his NHL career.
But he would leave the Twin Cities and sign with the Arizona Coyotes on a one year contract in 2023, where he'd play until he was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 2024 Trade Deadline.
That summer, he signed a two year contract with the Dallas Stars.
