Tonight marks the return of Tristan Jarry to Pittsburgh for the first time since the trade that sent him to the Oilers, but per an analyst, Pittsburgh will not be giving him a video tribute as has become tradition with many teams when ex-players return.

Even though most of the fanfare on Friday night was on the major trade between the Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks involving Quinn Hughes, there was another major deal between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Edmonton Oilers.
The Penguins trade goaltender Stuart Skinner as well as Sam Poulin to the Oilers for Stuart Skinner and Brett Kulak, and as fate would have it, both teams play each other just days after the trade.
Jarry has been the confirmed starter for the Oilers against his old club, and it will be Skinner getting his first start in a Penguins sweater for Pittsburgh. But there will be one aspect of what many expected for tonight's game that will be skipped.
Per analyst Dave Molinari, the Penguins are not expected to have a special video tribute for Jarry in his return to Pittsburgh, saying that the team has now adopted a policy that such tributes are only reserved for players who won Stanley Cups in a Penguins sweater.
For those asking, the Penguins are not expected to have a tribute video for Tristan Jarry tonight. They are believed to have adopted a policy of giving such recognition only to guys who won a Cup here. - Dave Molinari
Jarry already has his first win in an Oilers sweater, beating the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-3 just 24 hours after the trade.

Tristan Jarry Wants To Put Down Roots In Edmonton After Being Acquired By The Oilers

Jarry already has ties to Edmonton, as he started his professional career with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the WHL.
Not long after the trade, he said he's looking forward to putting down more roots in Edmonton.
«Just my time playing there with the Oil Kings. I enjoyed it so much. I had a lot of friends there, and I kind of grew up there a little bit, so when I had the opportunity to buy a home, that was kind of where I decided to set roots. - Tristan Jarry
