Arturs Silovs Was Acquired By The Penguins From The Canucks
Silovs was taken with the 156th overall pick by the
Vancouver Canucks in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
He was suddenly thrust into action in the 2024 playoffs because of an injury to starter
Thatcher Demko and the struggles of
Casey DeSmith.
He performed better than most would have expected of him, and helped bring them to Game 7 of the WCSF, which they lost to the divisional foe Edmonton Oilers.
Silovs helped the Canucks' AHL affiliate Abbotsford Canucks win the Calder Cup earlier this spring.
