Penguins Honour Sidney Crosby with Heartfelt Tribute as Fans Erupt in Standing Ovation

The Pittsburgh Penguins honured captain and future Hall of Fame forward Sidney Crosby for his incredible recent accomplishment at PPG Paints Arena on Sunday.
Despite a difficult 7-3 loss against the Buffalo Sabres earlier in the week, one bright spot was captain and future Hall of Fame forward Sidney Crosby surpassing Wayne Gretzky's record of 19 point-per-game seasons.
Crosby's goal gave him his 20th year of at least one point per game, moving him past Gretzky.
During a stoppage in play in today's game between the Penguins and Ottawa Senators at PPG Paints Arena, a special video tribute was played for Crosby in which he received congratulations from present and past teammates on his accomplishment.
The video message was played on the newly-installed larger scoreboard in the arena, and the fans in attendance voiced their appreciation for Crosby with cheers and a lengthy standing ovation.
In his trademark humble style, Crosby chalked up his achievement to work ethic as well as with the teammates that he's played with over the years that helped make it possible.

Crosby has 80 points (26G, 54A) in 72 games this year for the Penguins, who are unlikely to make the playoffs.
Should they ultimately miss the playoffs, it would be for the 3rd straight year - the longest drought of Crosby's career.
