The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly suspended newly acquired defenseman Egor Zamula for his failure to report to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

The divisional foe Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers don't often make trades with one another, but they recently did just that - but now, one of the pieces of the trade has been suspended.
The Penguins traded Philip Tomasino to the Flyers for Egor Zamula, who had recently cleared after being put on waivers and was assigned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the Flyers.
It wasn't long after that in which he changed player agents to Dan Milstein of Gold Star Hockey.
Even though there's been no official explanation released, Zamula could very well have refused to report to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Pittsburgh's AHL affiliate.

Egor Zamula Spent The First Portion Of His Professional Career With The Divisional Foe Philadelphia Flyers

Zamula, who was originally taken by the Regina Pats of the WHL with the 60th pick in the CHL Import Draft, was never drafted into the NHL. He would sign an entry level contract with the Flyers and eventually make his debut in 2021.
His career-best in the NHL was 21 points (5G, 16A) in 66 games in 2023-24, and he would play 63 games the following year.
So far this season, he'd only played 13 games with the Flyers and three games with the Phantoms.
In his NHL career, Zamula has 41 points (8G, 33A) in 168 games played.
