Pittsburgh Penguins GM Kyle Dubas, who oversaw the Canadian squad at the 2025 World Championships, is facing blame for their shocking loss to Demkark.
The run for the Canadian squad at the 2025 IIHF World Championships came to a stunning conclusion earlier today, as they were knocked out by Denmark after a last-minute goal from Nick Olesen.
And not surprisingly, general manager Kyle Dubas is facing some criticism for Canada's failure to secure a better fate.
Canada coach Dean Evason, who is also the head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets, is facing some criticism for not having Crosby on the ice as they desperately tried to tie the game after falling behind in the final minute with goaltender Jordan Binnington pulled.
With Canada out, Denmark now moves on to play Switzerland on Saturday, with the winner of that contest advancing to battle for the gold medal against either the USA or Sweden.
Dubas was previously the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, but was let go by the club in 2023 due to an alleged power struggle with team president Brendan Shanahan.
Ironically, Shanahan was let go by the Maple Leafs earlier today after Toronto once again failed in their over 2-decades-long quest to advance past the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
