The Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, and Maple Leafs, surface as potential trade fits for Calgary Flames' Nazem Kadri according to Sportsnet analyst Ryan Dixon.

Kadri has been involved in trade rumors for months now. His consistent production, 75 points in 2022-23 and a career-best 35 goals last season, paired with the fact he hasn't missed a single game since joining Calgary in 2022, makes him one of the most intriguing players available for teams looking to add depth at the center position.
Montreal is reportedly in the mix, and the fit makes plenty of sense. The Canadiens still haven't filled their second-line centre role, and their deep pool of NHL-ready prospects could appeal to Flames GM Craig Conroy.
Kadri, who grew up a Habs fan, might be interested in moving to Montreal.
New Jersey, meanwhile, could use Kadri's edge and playoff experience. With Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier already down the middle, Kadri would make for an elite No. 3. The Devils have history dealing with the Flames, and someone like Dawson Mercer, still young and under contract, could be a key piece in a potential offer.
Kadri's former team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, would also be a logical destination. Current Leafs GM Brad Treliving is the one who offered Kadri his long-term contract in Calgary.
Per Nick Kypreos:
"Toronto [general manager] Brad Treliving has tried numerous times to trade with his old club in the past only to be shut down by the Flames on [Chris] Tanev, [Nikita] Zadorov and [Rasmus] Andersson, so it may be a stretch for the Leafs to land Kadri."

The Avalanche and Hurricanes are also in the mix. Carolina has cap space and a need at centre behind Aho, while a reunion in Colorado remains intriguing but complicated due to their cap constraints.
Still, if Kadri approves a move, it's clear that several contenders are eager to add his grit, skill, and experience.
