Boston Bruins Captain Reveals Who's Next On His Hit List
Brad Marchand, the Boston Bruins captain, is renowned for his knack to rattle opponents, players, and even fans with his on-ice antics in the National Hockey League. Despite his skill in getting under the thickest of skins, Marchand discovered that he, too, is not impervious to the jabs that come his way.
During Saturday's ceremony honoring the Lunch Pail Athletic Club era of the Bruins (1977-1985), considered one of the toughest groups in NHL history, Marchand was asked how he would have fared in that era. To his credit, Marchand acknowledged he lacked the required toughness for that period but humorously admitted to one aspect he would have relished.
"Nope. I wouldn't be around very long. ... You had to be a different type of tough to play in that era," confessed Marchand.
"Although it would have been fun to be allowed to go up and fight the fans."
While there are countless NHL fans who might fantasize about confronting Brad Marchand, it seems the Bruins agitator would be more than ready to reciprocate the sentiment.
