Promising Philadelphia Flyers prospect Matvei Michkov has received unfortunate news, confirming that he'll be out for an extended period due to illness.

Matvei Michkov has missed several games and has now been diagnosed with pneumonia, a lung infection that can range from mild to so severe that you have to go to the hospital.

Wishing the best for him and hope for a speedy recovery ❤️

Before falling ill, Michkov was making waves with HC Sochi and is now set to miss the KHL all-star game. The 2023 7th overall pick is anticipated to make the move to North America in 2026, bringing refined skills and the potential to make an immediate impact for the Philadelphia Flyers.
