Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has shocked Pittsburgh and hockey fans everywhere by agreeing to talk extensively about his personal life for the first time.
It's not often that fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins and hockey fans in general get an exclusive behind the scenes look at the personal life of superstar captain and future Hall of Famer Sidney Crosby.
He's going to be featured along with Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk, beloved former Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, and Dallas Stars forward Mikko Rantanen in Season 2 of 'Faceoff: Inside the NHL' on Amazon Prime.
Fans are going to get a glimpse not only into the players' personal lives but into their training.
It's a rare chance for fans to see Crosby unfiltered, and they're excited about it.
Per Mark Shapiro, head of Prime Video Canada, they're excited for the fans to see the finished product.
We were really happy with Season 1, particularly the fan reaction. Season 1 of FACEOFF really pulled back more than what fans had seen before and I think what really resonated is that people see the game on the ice.
But getting to see the players as people, not only in their day-to-day life but also their friends, family and everything they interact with that makes them them, getting to see a little bit more behind the scenes, was really well received in Season 1, and obviously we have a pretty exciting group of players coming into Season 2 that I think fans will be excited for.
