Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Kale Dach could prove to be one of the steals of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft thanks to his electric production this year with the Western Hockey League's Calgary Hitmen.
There will inevitably come a time when there is a new wave of talent for the Pittsburgh Penguins after the departures of longtime franchise mainstays like Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang.
Even though the Penguins have gotten a taste of what some of their young prospects like Rutger McGroarty, Harrison Brunicke and Sergei Murashov can do, there's another name that may have flown a bit under the radar.
Forward Kale Dach, who was taken with the 201st overall pick by the Penguins in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, is playing with the Western Hockey League's Calgary Hitmen and has an impressive stat line.
So far this year, Dach has 58 points (27G, 31A) in just 45 games, and is on pace to hit 82 points (38G, 44A) in 64 games. He's the highest scoring Penguins prospect in any hockey league.
If this is what he can bring at the NHL level when his career begins down the road, Penguins GM Kyle Dubas will be praised for a savvy selection that multiple other teams passed on several times.

His scouting report via Elite Prospects touts his natural playmaking abilities:
A natural playmaker, Dach generates advantages through sharp, snap processing and a mastery of soft skills. His game features one-touch passes, quick hands in tight spaces, subtle delay tactics, and a wide array of handoff plays. - Elite Prospeects
Dach will play locally next year, having committed to Penn State University, the same school that projected first overall pick Gavin McKenna plays for now.
