Penguins Announce Lineup for Preseason Debut Against Montreal, Including One Fiery Surprise

The Penguins pulled out a surprise in their lineup for their 1st preseason game on Monday against the Montreal Canadiens with ex-Habs forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard.
Hockey is back for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and they will begin their preseason schedule by playing
the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night.
It will also be a special night for a former member of the Habs, as the Penguins announced that Rafael Harvey-Pinard will be playing for the black and yellow.

Harvey-Pinard entered the summer as an RFA but was not given a qualifying offer by the Habs. The Penguins then decided to take a chance on him by signing him to a 1 year contract.
He'll get a chance to get some revenge against Montreal at Bell Centre on Monday.
Rafael Harvey-Pinard started his NHL career with the Canadiens
Rafael Harvey-Pinard was taken with the 201st overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Canadiens after having played multiple years for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in the QMJHL.
He would later play for the Chicoutimi Sagueneens before eventually playing for the AHL's Laval Rocket. He made his NHL debut with the Canadiens in 2021-22, getting in 4 games.
He never played a full year with the Canadiens, bouncing between the NHL and AHL. The 45 games he played in a Montreal sweater in 2023-24 remain to date his highest game total at the NHL level.
So far in 84 total NHL games, he has 31 points (17G, 14A).
