Sidney Crosby has been the leader of the Penguins for two decades now, and after Mike Sullivan's firing, he's opened up on what he did for him and the organization.
Obviously it was a huge move for the organization, and it effects so many people, most of all Sidney Crosby, who won two of his three Stanley Cups under Sullivan, and now, Crosby has opened up on Sullivan being moved on.
«He did an amazing job over the last 10 years here with his preparation and commitment to winning. Personally, he pushed me to be better everyday, and I learned a lot from him. We shared some great memories together, and I am grateful for his time here and everything he did for us.»
It's clear in his message that Sullivan did so much for the career of 87, who will now go down as one of the greatest of all time, with part of that being owed to the veteran Head Coach, who will be missed by
the Penguins and their fans.
While Crosby has had several Head Coaches in his NHL career, it can't be denied that he has found his most success under Sullivan, and with Crosby nearing the end of his run, it's safe to say that he probably wasn't expecting a coaching change anytime soon.
Like so many others, Crosby had nothing but good things to say about Sullivan, who was a true leader and a fantastic coach, and while he's expected to land another Head Coach role in the NHL very soon, he'll certainly be missed in Pittsburgh, even after the team struggled in the past few years.
