The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have hired Ethan O'Rourke as their new video coach after his extensive international experience with Canada.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have already made major changes in leadership so far this summer, as GM Kyle Dubas fired coach Mike Sullivan after nearly 10 years on the job and replaced him with former New York Rangers assistant coach Dan Muse.
Ironically, Sullivan resurfaced as the new head coach of the Rangers after they decided to fire Peter Laviolette.
Now, the Penguins organization has made a notable hire, as the AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre-Scranton Penguins have hired Ethan O'Rourke as their new video coach.
General manager Kory Cooper said he was proud of O'Rourke's promotion in a prepared statement.
I am very excited for Ethan to be taking the next step in his career. His hard work and dedication to the Frontenacs has been an integral part of the growth of our organization. He's a young, intelligent hockey mind that has a bright future ahead of him. I've been fortunate to work beside Ethan for the last five years. He is most deserving of this new role, and we wish him nothing but success at the next level.

O'Rourke already has international experience, having worked for Team Canada Red at the 2023 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Additionally, he was also employed as the official Video Coach for Team Canada at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

Dan Muse is the new coach of the Penguins

After the firing of Sullivan, Kyle Dubas took his time in the coaching search and eventually decided to hire Muse as the new bench boss.
Not only was he a former Rangers assistant, but he was also an assistant coach on the staff of the Nashville Predators.
Additionally, former Penguins Stanley Cup-winning forward Nick Bonino is now an assistant coach on his staff.
