Sidney Crosby reflects on his NHL legacy as P.K. Subban makes a Tom Brady comparison
Pittsburgh Penguins franchise icon Sidney Crosby reflected upon his legacy with former defenseman and current analyst P.K. Subban, who referenced legendary former NFL quarterback Tom Brady.
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby continues to amaze, even at 38 years old, as he continues to be the face of the franchise that he's been a part of since being taken first overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The 2005 NHL Entry Draft, which was commonly referred to as the "Crosby Sweepstakes", resulted in the Penguins getting the chance to pick him, and since then, he's led them to three Stanley Cups and has also won numerous personal accolades. He's also played for Canada in the Olympics, winning gold medals in 2010 and 2014, and will try and do so again next month.
Crosby, one of the best players in NHL history, has played his entire career in a Penguins sweater, and discussed his legacy today with former defenseman and current analyst P.K. Subban, who also later referenced legendary former NFL quarterback Tom Brady.

Crosby and Subban infamously went at one another during the 2017 Stanley Cup Final, which was a source of controversy at the time.
Tom Brady Made An Appearance At The 2026 Winter Classic Between The Florida Panthers And New York Rangers
Speaking of Tom Brady, the legendary former NFL quarterback made an appearance yesterday at loanDepot Park in Miami, home of MLB's Miami Marlins, for the NHL's 2026 Winter Classic between the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers.
A five time Super Bowl MVP, Brady also received a customized Panthers sweater with his iconic No. 12 on it, and even got a chance to hold the Stanley Cup.
