Alex Ovechkin's Reaction Goes Viral After Meeting Famous Rapper Juicy J

The Washington Capitals have already clinched their position not just for the playoffs or even the Division, but for the first seed in the entire Eastern Conference.

The team still has two games left on their schedule after today, but many of the star players will likely sit them out as they prepare for the playoffs.

That was not the case tonight though as the Capitals host the Columbus Blue Jackets for the second half of a home and away back-to-back.

As Alex Ovechkin started walking down the tunnel to hit the ice for warmups he was greeted by rapper Juicy J, who was waiting for him with the rest of the team, even wearing the classic screaming eagle jersey.

Ovechkin dabbed him up before his longtime teammate Tom Wilson joined in, giving Juicy J the same welcome.

Perhaps it was an omen of good luck as Ovechkin would record career goal number 896 in the first period, his eighth goal in his last ten games, and first since breaking Wayne Gretzky's record last week.

The goal brings him one closer to 900, which not only would be a major milestone in its own right, but it would also force Wayne Gretzky to follow up on a promise made to him when he broke the all-time goal record.

Ovechkin has already accomplished basically everything he can at the NHL level, but he still only has one Stanley Cup, which doesn't seem right considering the career he's had.

Hopefully the Capitals can change that this season, but if they do Ovi himself will be a huge part of it.

Other than that, it is also a matter of seeing just how many goals he can score before retirement. Could he hit 1000? Only time will tell.
