Longtime Penguins Rival Alex Ovechkin's Future in the NHL Leaked by His Wife

It looks as though the future of Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin, who is now the NHL's all-time leading goal scorer, has been leaked by his spouse.
While the Washington Capitals were quick to issue a clarification on what appeared to be an erroneous report that next season would be the last one in the NHL for Alex Ovechkin, it now looks as though that initial report may prove correct.
The future of Ovechkin, who is now the NHL's all-time leading goal scorer after he passed Wayne Gretzky last month, has been leaked by his spouse, Anastasia Shubskaya.
Alexander still has a contract for a year. So we will play the next season, and then fly back to live in Moscow, to our homeland. We will stay in Russia, yes.
She also explained that the pressure on her husband to break Gretzky's goal record was immense.

Ovechkin and the Capitals have been longtime divisional foes of Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins, though there is a deep mutual respect between the two 1st ballot Hall of Famers.
