Last night's clash between the London Knights and Sarnia Sting in the Ontario Hockey League took a heated turn, resulting in the indefinite suspension of London player Max McCue.

The game was already intense when Sarnia goalie Karsen Chartier left his net to hit Knights' forward Kaeden Johnston, sparking a scuffle involving Cooper Way from the Sting and Ryder Boulton from the Knights, son of former NHL enforcer Eric Boulton. Boulton took a beating in the brawl.

After the game, the announcement came that Max McCue from London was suspended indefinitely.

"#OHL Disciplinary Action: London's Max McCue has been suspended indefinitely as a result of actions on Dec. 29th vs. Sarnia."

While details are unclear, the game sheet shows McCue was ejected for abusing an official. If it was something he said, it must have been pretty serious to warrant an indefinite suspension.

Despite not being part of the brawl, McCue had a notable performance, scoring twice and extending his goal-scoring streak to nine gamesthe longest for London in a while.

"Max McCue expands multipoint game streak to six after scoring game's first two goals. Lengthens goal streak to nine, circuit's longest this year and London's longest since Liam Foudy hit 10 in January 2019. 3rd winner in last four, tied 4th in League with 5. 3rd with 66 PIM."
