Ottawa Senators Captain Forced To Answer The Bell After Dirty Hit
It's Hockey Day in Canada, and there's always a bit of extra excitement when games unfold on such occasions. This afternoon, the Winnipeg Jets headed to the nation's capital to face off against the Ottawa Senators.
In the early moments of the 1st period, Senators captain
Brady Tkachuk found himself having to answer for a hit that's sparking some debate among fans. Check it out.
Brenden Dillion took offense to Tkachuk's hit and ensured he answered for it. Although the fight was brief, Dillon clearly came out on top, with officials stepping in when Tkachuk's helmet popped off.
The hit itself is drawing criticism for being dirty – not only was it from behind, but Tkachuk also left his feet, prompting the response from Dillon and the Jets.
