A lack of awareness from Will Cuylle led to a huge hit from Florida Panthers defender Dmitry Kulikov.

There is undoubtedly some rivalry between the New York Rangers and the Florida Panthers as they prepare for game 6 of their series. When that happens, the game becomes quite physical, and significant collisions are inevitable.
Dimitry Kulikov, a Panthers defender, attempted to keep the puck in the first period by pinching along the boards, but instead he hit New York Rangers winger Will Cuylle severely.
As would be expected as the Stanley Cup playoffs go, there is no love lost between the two teams, as has been evident throughout the entire series. However, this hit on Cuylle was undoubtedly one of the game's high points during the first quarter and could perhaps portend what is ahead for the remainder of the contest.
As of right now, the game is in its second period, and Sam Bennett's contentious goal梬hich came about because of a high stick in the neutral zone梙as put the Florida Panthers ahead 1-0.
This series' violent play and back-and-forth style have kept viewers on the edge of their seats.
