Trevor Zegras is making waves in the NHL, but not necessarily for the right reasons. Despite his talent, he's gaining a reputation as an easy target and being labeled as overrated by fellow players.
In a recent game against the Seattle Kraken, Zegras let his temper get the best of him. After a collision with Brandon Tanev, he responded with a stiff cross-check, earning himself a four-minute penalty.
Brandon Tanev slams Trevor Zegras to the ice and Zegras responds with a cross-check to the back.
Zegras gets 4 minutes for cross-checking. No penalty to Tanev.
Unhappy with the call, Zegras's frustration spilled over into the penalty box, where he was caught on camera destroying the expensive equipment in a fit of rage.
Video of Trevor Zegras breaking the Roots camera - he should get fined for this behavior (idk if that's a thing full disclosure just my opinion)
#Seakraken
This isn't the first time Zegras has shown his temper, and his behavior is raising concerns about his future with the Ducks.
