In the unpredictable world of professional sports, it's not uncommon for tempers to flare, even among teammates. Yesterday, we witnessed a prime example of this when Toronto Maple Leafs players Morgan Rielly and Mitch Marner engaged in a brief but "heated" disagreement during practice, sparked by a shot from Rielly hitting Marner in a power play drill.

Despite the intensity of the moment, both players are quick to dispel any notion of lingering animosity between them.

"We're not getting into that, are we? There's nothing. I'm joking with him all day," Marner emphasized. "Nothing happened. It was fine. We were joking and having fun with each other, that's what we do."

Turning to Rielly, Marner playfully nudged the conversation along, saying,
"Mark, ask him (Rielly) the same question you asked me. I need him to answer too. Listen to this one, you're going to laugh."

"I'm going to answer it," Rielly asserted before Marner could interrupt again.

"That was the question," Marner clarified. "I said nothing went on. I said I was chirping you about that shot and we were having a good laugh, and we're buddies."

Confirming Marner's sentiment, Rielly succinctly added,
"No one was mad at all."
