Tony DeAngelo signs NHL contract with Eastern Conference team
It was reported at the NHL draft that Tony DeAngelo was going to be dealt from the Philadelphia Flyers to the Carolina Hurricanes. The NHL intervened and blocked the initial trade. The league determined a year hadn't elapsed since DeAngelo was traded from Carolina to Philadelphia.
After weeks of back and forth, Philadelphia GM, Daniel Briere decides to place DeAngelo on waivers to terminate his contract. This was the second time that DeAngelo had a contract bought out.
Today Tony D signed a new deal with the Carolina Hurricanes.

This deal returns DeAngelo to Carolina where he resurrected his career.
