Vancouver Canucks best player will only re-sign on one condition
The Vancouver Canucks and Elias Pettersson are at somewhat of an impasse. Earlier this off-season, it was reported that Pettersson, along with other stars around the league were waiting for Auston Matthews to re-sign before attempting to sign their own contracts. While this made sense at the time, it turns out there was more to the story.
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Canucks star has no plan of re-signing unless the team starts to have some success, something I'm sure Canucks fans want as well; take a look.
How much of Elias Pettersson re-signing depends on team success?
"A lot of it, almost all of it..." - Elliotte Friedman, SN650 👀
The Canucks have been going through an extended period of mediocrity. Pettersson like so many others has been growing frustrated with losing. Pettersson is hoping to play meaningful games and if it's not in Vancouver, Pettersson will look elsewhere.
